  1. Mr. Rennie.

    Just dump the lot!

Get on with your life in the way you choose to live it and in another sphere.

You are not ministering to Christians in any case; you are ministering to bean-counters, letter-of-the-law observers, Pharisees, tits..!
They wouldn’t know a Christian precept if it hit them in the face.
Look at all the poverty and homelessness around and don’t bother going to Africa to do it, laudable as that may be.
It is in every shop doorway at night; the bum, the wino, the bag-lady, the druggie.
“Let me take you thro’ the streets of London…”…and all that.

Christ would be ministering to those ‘scumbags’ as he ministered to the scumbags of his own times; he even died, crucified, between two such ‘scumbags’.
I do not think he would be overly worried, were He here now, about whether Cedric and Cyril are getting it ‘on’ or not; or be over-fussed whether Arthur really wants to be Martha.

These (excuse me while I pee mesel’ laffin) ‘Christians’ haven’t a clue about the founding principle of their Master.

    I always wondered.

If Christ had died by guillotine, would all the good ickle chwistians be wearing silver guillotines round their necks, or genuflicting infront of massive ones in their temples of hypocrisy.

Seems to me they dont “think” very much about it.

    Seems

The trouble with historically orthodox Christianity is that it is neither true nor even merely benign.

This is why Christianity has produced so many viciously nasty shoots like Forward Together who believe they are ‘triumphing over the powers of darkness in spiritual warfare’ when they attack and slander those with differing views… It’s Biblical!!!.

This is where unfortunate Liberal Christians like Scott Rennie and his supporters find themselves ‘hoist by their own petard’.

No matter how progressive or well intended we may be, we can’t rewrite the Bible or alter the decisions of the Church Councils that produced the creeds.

Christianity will ALWAYS have an element of violent exclusivity, paranoid black-and-white thinking and histrionic apocalypticism – simply because that’s in the Bible… it’s in the New Testament! It’s ‘the Faith Once Delivered to the Saints’!

It’s even attributed by the Biblical authors to Jesus himself! Anyone even debating with him is portrayed as a ‘hypocrite’ a ‘fool’, Jewish ‘opponents’ are ‘children of the devil’. He even refers to a Canaanite (or was it Syrophoenician? – both, actually) woman & her daughter as ‘dogs’!!!. Gentiles are ‘dogs’ and ‘swine’… I could go on, but it would be tedious…

Where the Liberal’s inclusive luvvie Jesus comes from, God alone knows! – it certainly isn’t from the plain sense of the NT!

I really feel for Scott Rennie – that he’s suffered so much distress over this issue and has been attacked in such an intimate area of his life…It’s a truly horrible way to wake up to the reality of the poisoned chalice that is Christianity – but maybe it IS time to wake up, Scott (and Liberal Christians generally), and stop drinking – and peddling – the wine of delusion.

If they believe the book of lies surly Rev Georgie Baxendale, one of Scotland’s first female preachers who is protesting Rev Scott Rennie is also an abomination to the church also.

The hypocrisy of this must escape her and Forward Together I bet they eat shrimp also!

Here’s a fine example from the Sunday Times of the ‘sane and balanced’ thinking that goes on even in the Liberal Christian mind:

[Rev Kenneth MacKenzie, the minister at Crathie Kirk, near Balmoral]…The Queen’s minister has warned that the appointment of his friend and protégé as the Church of Scotland’s first openly gay clergyman would lead to an “apocalyptic” split in the Kirk.

If this is an accurate, verbatim quote, it’s worrying that this degree of black-and-white thinking now pervades even the Liberal wing of the Kirk!

No, Kenneth, the split WON’T be Apocalyptic. It may be a very big, very ugly blow-out, followed by schism, but what it will NOT be is Apocalyptic…

…just like the NON-apocalyptic NON-arrival of the Kingdom of God in the 1st century (as predicted by Jesus and the apostles, according to the Bible)!!!

There is mutiny in the ranks of Kirk and Captain Rennie is luckily supported by his first Leutenant Georgie Baxindale. Cutlasses in hand the Evangelical mutineers circle their prey. 80% of Rennie’s congregation support their Captain but are scattered around on shore and are not to hand. What will the heroic Captain do as he and his Leutenant dodge the cut and thrust of the mutineers cutlasses….. Tune in tomorrow to this fight to the death!

Tommorow never comes you know! Still Captain Rennie, back to the wall, is in no mood to listen to ‘Give it all up advice. It is alright for people who do not have a salaried position, to say give it up and also give up your salary in this ressesion. Another 15,000 from British Telecom to be put out of work and there will be many more–Becha! So Captain Couragous Rennie Fight, fight with all your might. Christ is thy strength and Christ thy right. You have only one life, so live it.
Each man or woman lives their own life and pays the price of that life. But, you can pay over and over again and Gay people usually have to do this. You will in life run up against the so-called ‘moral’ who are heartless, cruel, vindictive, log-stupid and entirely lacking in humanity.

  9. It’s not often that I care about people who are religious; there seems to be no right or wrong with the cherry-picking morality of fictional literature, and it’s a fault to believe in it in the first place. Still, I just think it’s hilarious that the opposition is trying to gain credibility through the like of Fred Phelps! What a joke…

One of the most obvious things that the gaystapo have forgotten is how is the said homosexual priest going to condemn acts of fornication, adultery, incest, bestiality, swingers and polygamists to name a few.

If homosexuality is approved by the bible as he obviously wrongly believes, he is in no position to apply the teaching of the bible about other sexual sins.

I can just see it now on a sign outside the church.

SATURDAY: SWINGERS NIGHT. EVERYONE WELCOME TO SWOP PARTNERS FOR A NIGHT OF UNBRIDLED SEX.
