Message to Rick Warren – If you’re going to tell barefaced lies about not having pulled a U-turn visible from space, be sure to check no-one caught your original statement on camera.
Only Stalin was ever able to whitewash history with that level of success, and he didn’t have to contend with Youtube!
Rather then pretending you never said it, try honesty out for size, see how that works for you.

  2. Rick Warren+ has provided longstanding encouragement to the anti-LGBT Bishops at The Episcopal Church…Bishops such as Henri Orombi/Uganda and Akinola/Nigeria who have attempted to ¨poach¨ on Episcopal Church Properties in the U.S.A. because of extremist, selective Scriptural interpretations used directly against LGBT people…that is fact and recently the California Supreme Court ordered the schismatics OFF property and parishes owned by U.S. Episcopal Church…another court acted against Akinola in Colorado and in New York too…there is more lawsuits pending against anti-LGBT intruders from Africa and in the U.S. such as Bob Duncan, former Bishop of Pittsburgh…Rick Warren heartily/loudly supports these anti-LGBT exclusionists. ¨A purpose driven grandiosity¨ is more like it when it comes to R.Warren and Saddlebacks ¨selective¨ Scriptural ministry both at home and in Africa.

  4. One doesn’t have to be gay to realize that each little success by the LGBT toward same sex marriage is a step forward to a freer and less repressive society, what the gay community is doing now will help us all.

Never heard about this moron until very recently. But I’ve known since a long time ago that Time magazine gives its cover in exchange of a lot of money. That’s how you explain some absurdities.

    fem (3) & Lexxvs (6):

I know what you mean about the cover of Time magazine. My personal favorite, and I’m quite serious about this, is the one that showed a naked profile of Demi More when she was 9 months pregnant. A most beautiful picture.

To get back to Rick Warren, besides the undisputable fact that the man is both influencial and a liar, I would be curious to have a vague idea of the balances of his bank accounts while countless Americans spend their nights sleeping on city streets in all kind of weather.

I always wonder who makes these lists and what criteria are used to decide who’s important. American’s not being aware of the rest of the world, making this list must be quite easy. Anyway: Rick’s fame is based on his bigotry, so I would like an explanation.

In January 1939, Time Magazine published its annual Man of the Year issue. They chose Adolf Hitler as the man who “for better or worse” had most influenced events of the preceding year.

So it’s obviously not a particularly laudatory award…

However, since Mr Warren appears to sense a sea-change in the mood of the majority of Americans (even amongst younger evangelicals), and feels the need to modulate his message accordingly, he may be acting as a barometer indicating fairer weather ahead…

Conservative evangelicals won’t like it – but they’ve already accused him of heresy anyway. He may take a whole chunk of the church with him in amore liberal direction…

    @ Ken

There are religious liars with considerable social and political influence in many countries.

The less malign the influence, the better for all concerned…

Joh 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

Hands up all those who have never lied?
