“Representative Lamar Smith, a Texas republican, said the bill ‘divides America” by protecting special groups.
“‘We should focus on the opposite, uniting America,” he said. “The bill is probably unconstitutional and will be struck down.””

Rep Smith, you want to begin to stop dividing America then stop Church Leaders from preaching their hateful doctrines and speech against LGBT people and have these leaders start preaching a message of love and compassion for ALL human beings. Their negative unprotected First Amendment speeches and faith doctrines incite some of their ignorant followers to perform hateful acts of violence to members of our community, which in turn causes much pain and divisions to many innocent people in the United States.
