Man denies attacking gay squatter
5:10 PM — A man accused of taking part in a one-hour attack on gay squatter has continued to deny his involvement. Neil Warner, his former lover Jonathan Wicks, and 2007 X-Factor contestant Kim Marrero were charged with carrying out the attack on Keiran Dulai.

4:58 PM — A man who severely beat a Good Samaritan over a gay joke has been jailed for four and a half years. Craig Stewart, 20, beat David Torrance unconscious in the attack in March 2008, causing him to spend almost three months in hospital.
