“Mr Paul is a notable opponent of gay marriage”
I don’t think this is true. In this interview he expresses support for gay marriage so long as it isn’t “imposed” on anyone else.

  3. Your assertion that Ron Paul is an opponent of gay marriage is inaccurate. He beleives it is a matter for the states, not the federal government. What his comment was referring to was the idea of establishing federally, a national standard for marriage.

Ron Paul is not opposed to gay marriage. He has stated as much on numerous occasions. A prominent retraction is in order.

Ron Paul’s position is that informed adults ought to be able to enter into any kind of un-coerced legal contract that they choose, and that includes marriage. He also believes strongly that marital status ought not to be the basis for any government rewards, credits, taxes, or penalties.

In short, get the government out of peoples’ lives and out of their bedrooms, and allow them to do as they please, just so long as they do not harm others.

  6. So he’s just opposed to gay rights, unless voted for by the majority? Pathetic. I wonder if he thinks rights for black people should be decided on a state level?
