Wonderful news…congrats to Iowans!! Well done.
Wasn’t expecting this. Great news.
Let’s just wait and see how long it takes the religious idiots to seek a constitutional amendment banning it. I hope Iowans see through them.
I live in Iowa. There is a rather strong religious right presence here. It won’t be long before it is challenged by some group of idiots. Then again, there is also a strong liberal left portion as well.
Stuart, there are some states that don’t allow that kind of amendment to be adopted, I think there are 11 of them that don’t allow it, but I’m not sure how it applies to Iowa. Either way, its a remarkable step. If we could get a few more midwestern and some southern states on board, it would be just a question of time before the rest of the country catches on. Its going to come, inevitable. New Jersey, New York will be next. Way to go, Iowa.
Three cheers for Jeremy Bentham.
This looks like a friendly fight between the USA and the EU on who gets more States allowing gay marriages. I hope everybody wins in the end.
Did they know that Iowa means YES in Arabic?
