I live in Iowa. There is a rather strong religious right presence here. It won’t be long before it is challenged by some group of idiots. Then again, there is also a strong liberal left portion as well.
Stuart, there are some states that don’t allow that kind of amendment to be adopted, I think there are 11 of them that don’t allow it, but I’m not sure how it applies to Iowa. Either way, its a remarkable step. If we could get a few more midwestern and some southern states on board, it would be just a question of time before the rest of the country catches on. Its going to come, inevitable. New Jersey, New York will be next. Way to go, Iowa.

This looks like a friendly fight between the USA and the EU on who gets more States allowing gay marriages. I hope everybody wins in the end.
