    Well…does that mean that you can only have gay marriage with a foreigner? Legally same sex marriage is not acknowledged in Japan, leading to some troubles when registering for large apartments etc. But does it mean that you can go outside the country, get married, and then be issued the “gay marriage certificate”? This may be a step forward for Japanese gay rights, but it’s a damn small one to me.
