Police appeal to trace family of Manchester entertainer

Greater Manchester Police are appealing for help to trace the relatives of a 60-year-old Manchester man who worked as a entertainer in the city’s gay clubs.

Norman Tonge, who worked under the stage name Barrie Stevens, died at the Manchester Royal Infirmary on March 2nd. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Officers are now appealing for help to locate his relatives.

Norman, whose date of birth was September 17th, 1948, was a club entertainer and often worked in gay clubs across the North West.

Anyone with information is asked to call the coroner’s liaison officer on 0161 856 4124.
