I could tell these people that allowing those same sex couples who wish to marry to do so will result in better mental health. My husband and I got tired of all the BS in the States and went to Canada to marry in 2007. I am happier and in better psychological health since I was able to follow my heart and legally commit to the man I love. Marriage isn’t for everyone, but for those whom it is, allowing them to marry would result in happy, more psychologically-healthy couples.
