  2. It happened because politicians ignored due process and pushed this through and onto the ballot. There was a lot of legal red tape they didn’t bother with or just skipped over in the hopes of exactly this happening.

    This is hopeful news for LGBTQ people in California! I hope and pray that this horrible propsition will be seen for the legalised hate that it is and that the court will see fit to strike it down. I applaud Jerry Brown for his support of a basic human right.

    Although my husband and I married in Canada in 2007, our prayers and wishes are with all those LGBTQ people in this country who do not yet have marriage equality.

    this is the dictatorship of the majority over the minority
    and it should be illegal .
