It is very brave of this woman to speak out about the terror which the transgender face n Honduras. We need more people like her to take a stand.
If transgender women were not so globally discriminated against in all countries around the world, they would not need to resort to prostitution in order to make a living. Discrimination in the workplace on the basis of gender identity is what leads to the transgender community being largely unemployed, or employed in low quality jobs – or in this case the sex trade. This needs to be addressed.
