yes, We are to belive that he held heimself off for 18 months! Indeed, why then, did he keep denhying the relationship and claim he was only a mentor after the chap hitting 18? If it had been a mature man vs teenage girl issue, this claim would hiot the gutter fast, where it belongs…

Please disregard, the two previous posters, they are a fringe element, and aren’t even gay. Why they are trolling this gay news site is beyond my understanding. Sam Adams didn’t do anything illegal and therefore, there is not need for him to resign.
He did nothing illegal but he did tell barefaced lies about the relationship when questioned about it. He denied it. Remember Bill Clinton was impeached as president for doing the same thing as Mayor Adams. The US electorate does not seem to approve of lying politicians who have sexual relations with much younger staff members. Gay or straight however they should be treated alike. I don’t like the way Adams is trying to exploit the gay press to support him just because he is gay.

Thanks for reporting on this! The Oregon State Constitution, Section 2 Article 18(6), protects all elected officials from a recall for 6 months.
A lot of the residents are pretty mad at Mayor Adams. For a treat you can watch some citizens chew him out from our city’s website.
