Why would anybody’s spouse/partner be the business of their employer? It’s you who’s applying for the job not them. It’s a bizarre question to ask – unless they were actually using it as a way to determine sexuality. I think that not only should the company be prosecuted, but the person who sacked her too, so I hope they DO pass it to the police.
