Elton John accused of snubbing Argentina’s President

Singer Sir Elton John has left Argentina without meeting the President after she postponed a scheduled encounter after his concert in Buenos Aires.

Sir Elton, who entered into a civil partnership in 2006, is being accused of snubbing Christine Kirchner after she delayed the meeting by five hours.

The Sun reports: “The pop legend, 61, is said to have “hit the roof” when (she) pushed back their private chat for five hours.”

He left the country and travelled to Chile, where he is continuing his tour.

Yesterday Sir Elton was named Britain’s most iconic glasses wearer in a poll carried out by Specsavers.

He has previously admitted to buying over 20,000 pairs of his trademark spectacles.

He beat John Lennon, Dame Edna Everage, Gok Wan, Eric Morecambe, Alan Carr, Timmy Mallett, Her Majesty The Queen, Johnny Depp, Jarvis Cocker to top the Specsavers poll.
