Maybe it’s not that amazing! Non-blacks were advocating an end to slavery and, later, discrimination of blacks and some men did the same for women. People: good, bad, indifferent.
I don’t see why it’s amazing that straight politicians are leading the legislative way toward gay rights. Justice is justice, whether gay or straight. Then, too, of course, the presence of gay legislators in this country is pretty pathetic.
