    Fantastic news. There is probably also a need to work with the LGBT communities where people from ethnic minorities, the elderly and youth are at risk of racism, ageism and sexism and to give support at major transition stages like coming out getting older and transitioning gender. Good on Islington for making such a public statement. Must read their charter to see what they have said about transgender people and getting communities to work together.

    This is just the start, lets see the other bouroughs of London follow suit and have this spread across the whole of GB not just one of Londons Islington Council and as Andy said in his comments this has to go for all communities not just a few. I shall be contacting Islington Council to get hold of their charter to see what I can get Cardiff Council to introduce a charter. maybe others can do the same in their areas
