Brian Paddick got married in OsloFormer senior police officer, candidate for Mayor of London and reality TV contestant Brian Paddick has married his boyfriend in a civil ceremony in Oslo.
Mr Paddick met Petter Belsvik in Ibiza in 2006.
Gay marriage has been legal in Norway, Mr Belsvik’s homeland, since January 1st.
The couple returned to London after Friday’s ceremony and attended a wedding party in Paddington last night.
They were joined by some of Mr Paddick’s new celebrity friends who appeared alongside him on ITV1 reality show I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here late last year.
Mr Paddick, a former Metropolitan police deputy assistant commissioner, was Liberal Democrat candidate for Mayor of London in May’s election, coming third.
He was the country’s most senior out gay officer until he retired in 2007.
