Justin was a lovely friend and I am so pleased that his life is now being celebrated in a manner that will help so many other people from homo-hostile groups.
Being forced to live a double life, one of fame and the other of secrets, does take its toll and I had to make many arrangements on behalf of Justin in order to protect him. He really was a very, very, nice person and I still miss him and that wonderful smile of his and his true innocence.
I hope this campaign receives the support that it deserves as nobody deserves the public taunts of ‘Nigger, Queer, Poof’, that Justin had to endure during his working periods on the pitch; we wouldn’t tolerate this in our own workplace but Justin had no option but to play during that hate banter.

Rest in Peace handsome Justin.
