    It’s not just LGBT victims of domestic violence who are ignored. Straight male victims of domestic violence are also routinely ignored. Partly that is because it is a vastly underreported crime but estimates say that 25% of domestic violence victims are men. You don’t hear any talk about that very often though.

    Like Simon Murphy states, it’s not just women who can be victims of domestic abuse. Money and specialists for various groups should be made availabe.

    However, this is a LGBT site for LGBT news and so it’s not about straight men.

    And it’s not 25%. It’s 9% (acording to police data returns published on the Home Office’s website). And 9% is less than the 1 in 4 LGBT people.
