    It would be good to see ALL social networking sites taking similar action against organisations and groups that use these networks to spread hate speech and incite hate crime. Let us not see this limited to just anti-gay groups but all groups that advocate violence and hate crime against minorities.

  2. Well done, facebook. Now let’s get all the homophobic comments removed from Youtube, where bigoted teens spread their venom largely unchecked.

    You’re absolutely right Joanna, and it’s up to all of us to be vigilant and report such groups to the websites concerned and authorities if necessary; if they’re unresponsive or don’t take such complaints seriously, we must continue to push the case for equality and tolerance until they do.

    Hey Pink News – just a thought about the accuracy of your headlines. Your headline says that Facebook ‘slams’ homophobic groups. Facebook did nothing of the sort – they simply removed 2 groups and are investigating others for breaking the terms of service
