  1. Go Peter!

  2. I’m not suggesting that Ratzinger is anything other than the disingenuous, mischief-making, paedophile-protecting, homophobic dissimulator that he is, but having examined carefully what he DID say in this instance, I’d say it’s a pretty desperate, floundering broadside against, not only LGBT people, but also against ALL women (and men)who don’t wish to have their proper role in life determined by a deluded octogenarian Bavarian cleric who clearly regrets his role as one of the ‘progressives’ of Vatican II, and wishes to turn back the clock to the ‘Good Old Days’ when ‘Queers’, Jews and ‘Uppity Women’ knew their places!

    Anyone for Kinder, Kirche, Kueche…Girls?

  3. “At a time of global over-population, by not having children gay couples contribute to population stabilisation and thereby reduce pressure on over-strained natural resources. We are an ecological asset to humanity.” A good point: and by extension, Catholics, with their anachronistic insistence on limiting birth control, are an ecological catastrophe.

  4. As a life-long Conservative, if I lived in Oxford East I would not hesitate to throw party-loyalty to the wind and vote for Peter – he is a voice of such clam, measured and logical reason, we as a nation need him in Parliament as soon as possible. I hope he will take this as the compiment it is intended to be.. He is our (All of our not just us gay Britons) leaner, greener Margaret Thatcher without the heels and the bouffant but with the same qualities of confident, no-nonsense leadership and dedication to create a better world.

  5. ..and I’m sure he is a better speller than I am at 7:51 in the mroning :~)

  6. Well said peter! His Nastyness, The Arch Homophobe of Rome, should do as the Sainted Tutu and concentrate on getting that evil Mugabee out!!!!

  7. Send him “Prayers for Bobby”
Indirectly he has blood on his hands – and I dont know what religion he his teaching – It is very Hitlerian, radical and extremist.
Last year he got bullets through the post – on day it will reach destination.

  8. The Church stands for objective truth. It has for 2000 years. It will for 2000 more.

  9. I really do NOT feel like taking any moral lectures from such a sad and nasty man – what moral authority does he bring to his statements? He is, after all, the head of a 2000 year-old organisation that has spent its entire history misusing its position, or instigating wars [we are still living with the consequences of the Crusades], of promoting some of the most hideous tortures ever devised [the Inquisition has a lot to answer for] and even in the present day is quite happy to condemn hundreds of thousands to death by forbidding the uses of condoms ….. not, by any measure, the sort of record which would confer any moral authority whatsoever.

Did this sad old man learn nothing from his background in Nazi Germany ….. you can take the boy out of the Hitler Youth, but can you take the Hitler Youth out of the boy!!!

It is by his deeds that he will be known – and so far way too many of his deeds have been nothing more than expressions of gratuitous hatred and bigotry …. and precious little Christian love!!!

  10. Benedict has lost touch with reality and is clutching at straws in a dying church.

  11. Peter Tatchell is as good example to us all; his courage is great. Thanks Peter you have said it all.

  12. I cant believe that he is the Head of Catholic Church and He made such remarks! he just lost his respect from people around the world. I am a catholic myself and I cant accept this at all.

Peter, you are the change we want to see! Kudos to you!

  14. So what is this nazi’s plan to rid the world of gays? Concentration camps and gas ovens? He doesn’t seem to be able to escape his past.

What is striking about Benedict’s stance on homosexuality is its contrast with his fastidiousness about and obsession with his liturgical attire. JP2 wore a simple pallium (white neck piece with black crosses appropriate for patriachs). Instantly Benedict’s turned into this huge white concoction wrapped around his neck. He appeared at Christmas in a red velet mozzetta (shoulder cape) edged in (Good Lord) rabbit fur. His vestments couldn’t be any more embroidered. Gay Catholic and Anglican clergy refer to this type as a ‘millinery queen.’ If the man isn’t a self-hating closet case, my Gaydar needs repair.

Roma Catholics preach homophobia because they want using gay as scapegoat covering their paedophile predaceous priests. We must remind people on the world we are not child abusers but the Roma Catholic priests.

Why don’t we have a Pride with nothing but the sign “the priest raping a boy” in each marcher’s hands.

We can’t only stay in defender position.

  17. Peter, you are an inspiration to us all; never give up.
