Having served in HM Armed Forces (Army, ’75 – ’87), you didn’t ask your oppo if he was gay or straight, when he was saving your arse from the enemy.
To me, the question, isn’t “gay or straight”, but “how good a soldier?”
That’s all that matters in a firefight; when the “big nasty” goes down…..
Obviously, LGBTs have been serving in the armed forces (worldwide) since time immemorial and with honour. It’s time for “civilised” America to catch up..
