“Wossname” you are right. At this years’ Eurovision in Belgrade, Serbia a colleague of mine and I were beaten up by skinheads in a restaurant. We were a bit “reckless” by wearing our press accreditations on our neck. Unfortunately media in Serbia wasn’t helpful by calling the event a “faggot ball”… and this was front page.
On the bottom line, countries with a very poor human rights and media protection record should not be able to host an event where a majority of the attendants are gay. But to be honest I don’t think the EBU cares that much. I believe Moscow will be as dangerous as Belgrade and I urge everyone to think twice before going. You could end up in a hospital as I did…

I doubt it. The contest should be boycotted by the LGBT communities everywhere and not least by the nations competing.
