Absolutely bloody marvellous. I’m so proud of America for taking such a huge radical step forward by electing this superb candidate who ran an equally superb, flawless campaign. Amazing history has been made, unprecedented anywhere.

Talk is cheap. It’s great that the US has a non-white president, but will he be able to bring about the changes people are waiting for, not just in the US, but in the rest of the world? He talks a lot about the greatness of the US, religion, American leadership etc. Bit deja vu for me.

Thank God he won. I’m not American but I have always admired America. I think it lost its way in recent years but I think the great country is back.

  4. If I’m not mistaken, he is the first President Elect to even acknowledge the existence of gay people in his acceptance speech. I’m proud of every white American who got past the color of his skin to vote for the man. Finally a presidential candidate with some intelligence!

Prayers have been answered. I feel hopeful changes are on the way.Barack Obama, now is the time for new directions, new openness of hearts.
I am sad prop, 8 seems to have gone against us.
I am sure we will not give up.
Again, again and again, until our full rights are in place.
