First, it was presented tricky on the web: if you are in favor of gay marriage in California, you have to vote no. Ads existed to explain it but I’m sure people mixed up.
I’m sure that also some people (the elders) might have been frustrated by the fact that they might have considered it too much publicized. Some people could have been frustrated as groups from other states (Mormons, Arizona and so on) interfered (as they shouldn’t) in California politics. And wasn’t the results predicted too early before voters had decided ?
I’m sure of these arguments, they are just what results this morning may suggest me and the questions I’m left without answer.
