Another christian lunatic. These people would be funny if they weren’t so facist and dangerous

  2. more of the usual from these benighted prelates.

I wonder if he attacks the apostacy of muslims with as much vigour?

  3. If the ‘good Bishop’ wants to criticise corruption, he could find no better example than on his own doorstep …. corruption of the truth, financial corruption, corruption of his calling and of his religion……
Christ would be appalled at his behaviour!!!

  4. Gross Domestic Product (per person adjusted for purchasing power):

    UK (homosexuals equal) $40,000
    Uganda (homosexuals persecuted) $1000

    Life expactancy:

    UK (homosexuals equal) 79.5
    Uganda (homosexuals persecuted) 52.0

Corruption Index (marks out of ten):

    UK (homosexuals equal) 8.4
    Uganda (homosexuals persecuted) 2.8

Who runs their country better, which society is more at peace with itself and where would any sane person (ie. not you) rather live? Deal with that question Bishop Thick Twat.

  5. You critize the Bishop without just cause.

Because of their greed for money our people have taken on immoral acts like homosexuality and lesbianism

WHAT’S WRONG WITH THIS COMMENT? In the USA, many runaway kids in
major cities turn to homosexuality to get money for drugs and
to survive. I’m sure in Uganda it;s the same motivation. Unless
you live in Uganda, how can you contradict this statement?

Speaking in June this year, he said: “not all that comes from Europe is superior and must be taken up.” His poiint is that
the increase in drug abuse andproliferation of pornography
are top examples of “civilized socieies” in Europe and the USA.

The Bishop also criticised corruption within the Ugandan government, citing officials who had misused or embezzled public funds as the cause of rural poverty in the country .

Hey Ivan — what’s your point — these people were born
in Uganda — they didn’t choose to live there and they
don’t have $$$ to leave the couotry and live in “blessed UK”

  6. Hank, if young people who have been kicked out of their homes turn to street hustling, it’s not for greed, it’s for survival.
While it’s true that not everything European is worthy of emulation, that in itself is not a case for or against granting full civil rights to all citizens.
People don’t become homosexual because they’re greedy. That’s a simple minded concept, adopted by people who want simplistic answers handed to them so they don’t have to deal with the realities of life.

  7. Hank – you make a pretty good fist of defending Bishop Luzinda, but this man is well-known for his absurd remarks about the peril of homosexuality in Uganda. In the past he has called for head-teachers to be dismissed if they fail to weed out students suspected of homosexuality in schools. Unfortunately, he is representative of a strand of evangelical Protestantism in sub-Saharan Africa which not only creates an environment culturally hostile to homosexuality, but explicitly views homosexuality as a Satanic influence which threatens the very existence of the state. As Ivan points out, it might very well seem that Uganda has bigger problems to worry about at present (not least the ongoing LRA rebellion in parts of the country), but the Bishop sees homosexuality as PART of the problem, in the sense that moral corruption (by his lights) inevitably leads to political and economic instability when a nation is deserted by God.

Suggesting that Ugandans should stop worrying about gays and apply themselves instead to improving the standard of living and education thus misses the point. Here, as elsewhere, I suspect that LGBT rights will follow social and economic progress rather than leading the way.

  8. At the risk of feeding tthe Troll, the point is that the great majority of people would, if they could, leave religion obsessed countries to live in secular societies.

Hank, wants to go the other way.

In fact, it’s worse than that. He wants to reverse the principles of the Enlightenment, which produced our rich, free and secular society and turn us back into the kind of poverty stricken, repressive, theocratic, Dark-Age shit-hole that others are so desperate to leave.

  9. Night Nurse 17 Oct 2008, 10:21am

Hank – so many holes in your argument! Not to mention the Bishop’s. Desperate runaway kids (of both sexes) turn to prostitution to survive. Prostitution – not ‘homosexuality’. Selling yourself in order to eat is hardly about ‘greed’ is it? And are the kids in school he wants monitored for signs of gayness supposed to be prostitutes? Or people suspected of paying desperate kids to have sex with the, maybe? None of it makes an ounce of sense.

(Although I agree he has a point that not all Europe & America’s exports are desirable.)

  10. LOL another nut, twisting religious beliefs (not truths) to fit his own political agenda. Africa would not have the troubles and poverty if it wasn’t for the religious nuts going to the country and forcing locals to give up their children to god. Read “Of Water and The Spirit”. Religious hatred is ripping this world apart, for the sake of what? Outmoded thoughts that have no place in modern society. The Catholic church says using contraception is a sin, mmmmmm don’t remember condoms being mentioned in the bible. Not using contraception is causing HIV and AIDS to continue growing; not using contraception is increasing the quantity of humans on the planet to dangerous levels, which the planet cannot sustain. Gays and Lesbians have been blamed for everything from tsunamis, to AIDS, to Hurricanes. If a deity is angry at anyone, it is the religious nuts for twisting and perverting the true messages of perfect love, trust and acceptance that in the end we are all individuals with a right to live our lives how we see fit, without harming others.

  11. “Because of their greed for money our people have taken on immoral acts like homosexuality and lesbianism”

What an truly absurd comment to make. So, by deduction, getting rich makes you gay? Utter poppycock. I’m embarrassed for you making such a ridiculous statement in a public forum.

You are a fantastic example of warped man, but its comforting to know that you are a dying breed and your shrill nonsense is the death cries of your kind.

  12. Robert, ex-pat Brit 17 Oct 2008, 2:48pm

Hank, you make no mention of the runaways in America, girls in particular who don’ turn to “homosexuality”, but to heterosexual pimps, what about that, bigot? Why don’t you come out of that dark dark closet you’re been hiding in for so long, find yourself a hot guy and settle down and be happy. We all find it very revealing that you persistently post on a gay website and we all know it goes beyond the prurient. Can’t resist the men huh? Take your bible and shove it where the light doesn’t shine. Your God or Jesus never mentioned “homosexuality” once, let alone condemned it, hypocrite. If you have so much time on your hands posting here, and by the way, nobody believes anything you say, I suggest you concentrate on those parts of scripture aimed at your straight colleagues and the “wannabe” straight ex-gays like you. Here it is…www.fallwell.com

  13. “by the way, nobody believes anything you say”

Well said Robert. He wont listen, of course, the deformed little troll is incapable of taking as hint. How futile his life must be if he thinks one ounce of his crap will sway even one of us for a second! The fool.

  14. Hey rjb:
You say, “As Ivan points out, it might very well seem that Uganda has bigger problems to worry about at present (not least the ongoing LRA rebellion in parts of the country), but the Bishop sees homosexuality as PART of the problem, in the sense that moral corruption (by his lights) inevitably leads to political and economic instability when a nation is deserted by God.”

Hey Ivan: “In fact, it’s worse than that. He wants to reverse the principles of the Enlightenment, which produced our rich, free and secular society and turn us back into the kind of poverty stricken, repressive, theocratic, Dark-Age shit-hole that others are so desperate to leave.

(I’m don’t agree withj your argument – looking at the teachings of Jesus Christ and His followers, can you point out what was wrong with any of it. Don’t go quoting any beliefs or activities of various organized religious pronouncements – show me what Jesus Christ and His disciples did/said that was so wrong for mankind.)

(If you study the Holy Bible, you’ll see that God did indeed punish people and countries that defiled and denied God’s principles and Commandments. Maybe the Bishop is indeed a reader and believer of what God does when sin and corruption rules a country)

Hey Night Nurse, you say ” Hank – so many holes in your argument! Not to mention the Bishop’s. Desperate runaway kids (of both sexes) turn to prostitution to survive. Prostitution – not ‘homosexuality’”

(Once a person gets into prostitution, their sexual standards drop to almost non-existent,
and homosexual activity is their next step in lacking any moral attitude, and it really shouldn’t
be a surprise that young boys will be taken advantage of by adult males, and when the
youngster sees all that money coming in, why shouldn’t he see no distinction between
prostitution and homosexuality? I don’t your see your argument

(The Bishop shouldn’t have used greed as the reason to turning to homosexuality, but should
have said getting money through homosexuality and prostitution to survive is their motivation)

Hey Ric, , you say ” Religious hatred is ripping this world apart, for the sake of what? Outmoded thoughts that have no place in modern society. The Catholic church says using contraception is a sin, mmmmmm don’t remember condoms being mentioned in the bible. Not using contraception is causing HIV and AIDS to continue growing; not using contraception is increasing the quantity of humans on the planet to dangerous levels, which the planet cannot sustain

As a Fundamentalist who believes in Jesus Christ, and no organized religious system, I see Catholics are submitting to a spiritual authority which is far different than Biblical authority. Further, Catholics learn from a different Bible, believe another Gospel, trust another Christ, and are on a different path to eternity — Hell!
So what the R.C Pope states doesn’t mean it confirms the belief and comments that Jesus Christ and His disicples followed –MOST “ SO-CALLED CHRISTIANS” DON’T UNDERSTAND THOSE DIFFERENCES, so don’t be giving me Catholic statements to argue
your position! If you want to know the truth, read what Jesus Christ said and you’ll get a totally new understanding of getting out of a sinful life.

“Because of their greed for money our people have taken on immoral acts like homosexuality and lesbianism”

What an truly absurd comment to make. So, by deduction, getting rich makes you gay? Utter poppycock. I’m embarrassed for you making such a ridiculous statement in a public forum

(As I stated earlier, the Bishop used the wrong word – should not have been “greed” but
“survival” – but I can understand his basic reasoning. When these youngsters get into
homosexuality for $$$, it’s next to impossible for them to forego it as they get older as
their moral standard has been altered and hard to give up.)

    Hey Robert
You say “Hank, you make no mention of the runaways in America, girls in particular who don’ turn to “homosexuality”, but to heterosexual pimps, what about that, bigot? Your God or Jesus never mentioned “homosexuality” once, let alone condemned it, hypocrite

(Jesus only had 3 years in his preaching/teaching/healing/saving life – there were many sins He
might not have mentioned, but that dose no mean He did not imply deeper understanding of
what sin is – His disciples expanded Jesus Christ’s principles because they had their remaining
adult years to travel to other countries and cultures and discuss in greater detail what Jesus said – they spoke for Jesus!
    \

    Hey Paul:
You said “Because of their greed for money our people have taken on immoral acts like homosexuality and lesbianism”

(The point was made for youngsters in Uganda – not worldwide)

What an truly absurd comment to make. So, by deduction, getting rich makes you gay? Utter poppycock. I’m embarrassed for you making such a ridiculous statement in a public forum

(You twisted the logic to absurdity – I didn’t imply that belief, and you know it.)

And the bottom line that nobody has ever answered L
WHAT BASIS DO YOU HAVE FOR SAYING HOMOSEXUALITY IS BECAUSE OF
A HOMOSEXUAL GENE — OR ANY OTHER PHYSICAL/MEDICAL/BIOLOGICAL
FACTOR THAT MAKES A PERSON HOMOSEXUAL? THERE’S NEVER BEEN
AND NEVER WILL BE A MEDIALLY ESTABLISHED AND ACCEPTED STUDY
THAT MAKES THAT ARGUEMENT — HOMOSEXUALITY IS CAUSED BY A
MULTIPLICITY OF FACTORS THAT ARE RESPONSIBLE.

religion is the tool for greed .
look at all religious institutions they are loaded
they steal the believers money in exchange for an elusive paradise.
gays are just born that way .

  16. john wilfred sharp 18 Oct 2008, 5:34am

gays mostly have sex for fun
    not for cash

  17. Oh, Hank, just shutup, you’re full of crap and its embarrassing…. if you could even fake intelligence I’d be mildly impressed.

Paul is spot on…Your “Because of their greed for money our people have taken on immoral acts like homosexuality and lesbianism” comment is nonscense, whether for one country or for all.

Oh, and we don’t need to prove our reason for being, no more then you need to prove your reason for your unfathomable stupidity. We are here. And that more empirical proof than your ridiculous bible offers.

Lets be hones here. The real reason you’re here is anger. As a deformed half blind and dying albino (your words), no one (male or female) would f*ck you, so you lash out. And gays seem like an obvious target… we seem to have so much more then you do, don’t we?

  18. To Hank:- While I agree with Will’s somewhat blunt estimation of your inexplicable anger towards gays (notice I didn’t use the work “homosexual” in the same tone you do), a clear application of Occams Razor, I do not see why you are here in the first place.

Basically, no one here will agree with you. No one here will listen. You claim to want discussion, but your demeanour gives way regularly to anger and vile attacks of hate. You claim to want rational argument, yet you make wild statements without fact, and when you do provide so-called backup, you use research commonly qoted by NARTH, who are widely recognised by the scientific community as using false assumptions and poor scientific methods… to put it mildly. They are clearly not scientists, nor are you for that matter. They, like you, use corrupted and dubious data to back up their premise, warping the facts to suit their own ideological purpose. Thankfully, most people are not stupid enough to believe their/your nonsense.

You are nothing more then an echo against our voice, Hank. We are here, and getting stronger. Its irrelevant to us if what you think is “morally right”, or how you think we should not be here, you clearly have no right to make that assessment in the first place.

Your kind, and your lack of humanity, will never prevail, and its we who feel sorry for you.

  19. Hank, I honestly want to know why you are on a gay news forum, if all you are going to do is lash out?

  20. How quiet Hank has become now…. how sad. Maybe he’s dead.

  21. “not all that comes from Europe is superior and must be taken up.”
says the bIshop? WellI would rather have Euro Human Rights than live in a backward Gay hating society; some of these African Countries want to return themselves to the dark ages! But its so nice to see the Church speaking out on how Gays have ruined the world once again; put another record on please this one is getting BORING!!!!!!!

  22. Does anyone else here wonder if Hank actually believes his own BS? Anyone else would’ve quit by now. I’m starting to wonder if he’s simply a troll pure and simple with no other agenda than to get us all riled. Maybe the religion thing is just a ruse. Either that or he seeks out the company of gay people for other reasons…

  23. Hank

    You’re a bigotted twat – the end

  24. Rob Alexander 23 Oct 2008, 6:18pm

The bible may be full of tribal hatred and the burblings of a god of appalling morality, but at least allow the Catholic the dubious credit of having determined its content. Hank presumably believes the King James Version dropped from the clouds, would advocate slavery and the oppression of women, and the death sentence for kids who tease bald men 2 Kings 2:23-24]
    – lots more appalling examples where that comes from.

  27. Hey Hank – I’m Catholic and gay! Going to Hell twice then! :-D
