I would like to express my utter disgust and dismay in regards to the nomination of transphobic Julie Bindel for the Stonewall Awards. claims that “Sex change surgery is unnecessary mutilation”. This is a very bad decision by Stonewall and I predict they will be in for a tough time over this.

Richard Wilson is gay!? I don’t believe it! Well I do, I just didn’t know!

  3. Bindel is a feminist first and foremost. She appears to actually hate men, though she can’t be as upfront as she may wish.

The problem with the Guardian is that,in an attempt to balance the sexism, feels the need to give extra space in the form of women’s sections, and a privileged platform to women correspondents.

I had absolutely no idea Richard Wilson was gay!

  5. I think its a bit naughty for pinknews to say Richard is gay, because as far as I can tell he’s never really come out publically. The only details I can find about his private life online is that he has been in love once (with a woman) and has had “male friends, but not lovers”. I won’t provide a link because its from the daily hate mail.

  6. Shortlisting Julie Bindell for an award for her journalism has caused deep anger in the trans community. An award to someone who has caused such deep offence devalues all of the awards Stonewall make this year. Stonewall should rethink this in order to restore credibility to their awards.
