Respect Holidays goes bust

A major UK gay holiday firm has ceased trading.

Respect Holidays was one of the best known companies in the business.

The Civil Aviation Authority has been called in to protect holidaymakers booked with the company.

London based Lidana Ltd, which traded as Respect Holidays and Wildwind Holidays, was a small, specialist direct sell travel company operating inclusive holidays to Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Ibiza, Sitges and Mykonos. It also operated Sensations Holidays and Alternative Holidays.

Respect, which claims to be the number one gay holiday company in the UK, offered package trips to holiday destinations such as Gran Canaria, Mykonos, Sitges and Ibiza.
