Loved the coverage on the lovely diver dude. But where are the articles on the lesbians competing?

  2. Just what’s the stigma within sport? It’s one of the only sectors that still has this tolerated discrimination and nobody’s jumped in to stop it yet.

I know nations are select in their coverage of other country’s achievements perhaps (opting for regional results), but cutting away from Matthew’s celebrations goes against the Olympic spirit. I really would’ve had concerns if the scenes weren’t captured or shown at all though.

I’m sure London will provide a much more open platform where the diversity (of the city and competitors) will be celebrated, but ultimately it is the decision of the athlete to go public or not I guess.
