There can be no doubt that the Bigot of the year award should go to the wicked witch of the North, Iris Robinson.
The gay community has already voiced its opinion and if the recent petition towards her comments, made to the Prime Minister that attracted nearly 16000 signatures in its brief time, are any indication, she has to the logical choice.

Opps. Should read, “ She has to be the logical choice”. Gremlins at work again!!

  3. Don’t think “Heinz” strictly qualify as bigot of the year per-se. As far as I can make out, they instigated the ad with the gay kiss, then pulled it under pressure from the usual suspects. “Spineless wimp of the year award” seems more appropriate.
Iris is the obvious choice for bigot of the year, though sadly she’s probably far from being the only candidate.

I reckon there’s no braver group of young gay men and women, than IMAAN a social support group for LGB Muslims, their family and friends.

They receeved my vote for organisation, in this year’s recent nominations. Having seen them on London Pride Parade, I’m struck by their courage and they command, my respect.

Iris Robinson is an absolute must for Bigot of The Year but I also think that Hollyoaks actor Gerard McCarthy should also be commended for voicing his disapproval at her comments. If more hetrosexual people condemned attitudes like hers, the world would be a much happier place.
