Most of my (liberal NZ) Anglican friends use the term “Anglican” to describe the Sydney Diocese. I think one can guess why. For some reason, the whole of New South Wales is caught in a time warp where religion is concerned, whether Catholicism, Anglicanism, the (rump) “Presbyterian” Church of Australia or the ghastly NSW Upper House Legislative Councillor Fred Nile.

The ‘Archbishopric’ of Sydney?
Good to see Robinson sticking it to ‘em! He will be viewed as a human rights hero in years to come.
