People can hold any superstitious beliefs they want, heck, they can even believe in the sugar plum fairy if they want. But, I just cannot understand why such people expect to be ‘respected’. I mean, why. In a modern world, are such people taken seriously? For educated people to believe in mystical men in the sky who are invisible, but know everything people do and say, is beyond stupiditiy.
Nobody forced this religious bigot to work as a registrar, that is what she chose, to conduct secular non -religious weddings and partnerships. Her whinging about her beliefs is like a vegetarian taking a job in an abbattoir, then complaining that they cannot do the job because of their beliefs.
There is a hell of a lot of difference between believing in imaginary invisible people in the sky, and actually being born gay.
Religious people are just nutters, not to be taken seriously.
If she doesn’t want to do her job, she should quit or be fired
You’re not helping you know. Insenstive, bigoted and dogmatic anti-Christian rants really do nothing to encourage an environment of tolerance, diversity and understanding for all of us. It might be an idea to practice what you preach and set an example rather than simply being just as narrow minded and prejudiced as those you would wish to condemn.
