GaydarRadio has won another award. It was voted Commercial Radio Digital Station of the Year at the Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards 2008 yesterday.

The station won the prestigious title for the second year running.

Programme Controller Robin Crowley said:

“It’s been yet another momentous year for us.

“In March this year, we turned six years old with our biggest audience figures ever, more live programming then ever and some great new broadcast talent.

“This award pays tribute to both the hard work of our staff, and the fantastic support of our community at large.”

The station became Sony Digital Radio Station of the Year in April 2007 and was nominated for the award again this year.

GaydarRadio said in a statement that it attracts 339,400 listeners every week.

The station is available on DAB, online and Sky Channel 0158.
