Deputy First Minister to attend Glasgow Pride

The Deputy First Minister of Scotland has announced that she will address Glasgow’s pride rally.

Nicola Sturgeon who is also the Health and Wellbeing Secretary in the Scottish Government will join the marchers as the pride parade culminates in George Square.

Ross Stevenson, a Pride Glasgow Director welcomed the news saying: “this is an important occasion as is shows the importance of pride events still today and that the Scottish Government take LGBT equality seriously.”

Pride Glasgow is happening on August 30th with the March taking place from 11.30am on Blyswood Square and will see a rally and party on George Square.
