“99 times out of 100 when someone is told they cant do something because they are gay, it’s prejudice.”

No Lisa its 100 out of 100 times – good job we’ve got you fighting out corner. There are more relevant questions that ‘Are you gay?’ that could extablish risk of recent HIV infection and its a little worrying that THT are not at the forefront of the angry mob fighting this injustice.

Get any funding from the Dept of Health by any chance THT?

  2. it’s been a long time since THT has been an organisation that principally supports gay men. It’s been infested by the apparatchiks, careerists and self-servers only too willing to suck up to the establishment.

As usual, gay men did all the hard work (as in Stonewall), only to be displaced by the straights. THT now seems to focus primarily on straights with HIV, cetainly the regime changed some time ago when women wirh HIV seemed to be the concern.

So not only did gays start it, support it, and fund it when no-one else wanted to know, but ew’ve now been cold-shouldered out. Is Lisa Power gay? SHe’s certainly not a gay man – what does that tell us about the direction it’s gone down

I left the UK in 1977 and have been living in the US since. I am not allowed to give blood. There is a ban on anyone who has visited the UK during the late 80′s and early 90′s, during the mad cow scare. It does not matter I have been vegan since leaving the UK (30 years) – there are no exceptions.
