  1. I thought it was widely accepted that William Pitt the younger (1759 – 1806) was our first gay prime minister. Sheridan compared him to James’ 1st Buckingham. His preference ws for exclusively male company and loved wine but not a woman. See The Pink Plaque Guide to London, published by GMP in 1986.
