I see absolutely no point in legislating EU directives wherein member states don’t all have to comply in the case of article 13. Either you ban discrimination for all states or you don’t. The EU and Jose Barroso need to face reality and stop pussyfooting around the areas of sexual orientation because they don’t want to upset their majority straight counterparts or governments. Either you’re serious about it or not, and if not, get out and let someone better qualified do the job. If the goal of the EU is to speak with one voice on the political stage, it needs to have unilateral laws that all member states must adhere to and comply with, or face ejection, sexual orientation notwithstanding.
