    6:15 PM — A London university is looking at the role that internet communities have in the lives of lesbian and bisexual women and how this may relate to health and well being.Researchers at London Metropolitan University are asking for women to take part in an online survey as part of the study, which will also consider if message boards function as a sense of community or social support.In the next phase of the study the research team will be conducting a series of interviews and are keen for bi and lesbian women to take part.

    5:40 PM — The Equality and Human Rights Commission has taken up the case of a 56-year-old married man who was repeatedly taunted at work about being gay because he lives in Brighton.An employment tribunal and an appeal tribunal have both rejected his claims of sexual discrimination.Stephen English suffered years of abuse and insinuation from colleagues at Thomas Sanderson Blinds, based near Portsmouth, where he had worked in sales.

    3:40 PM — The BBC news programme Newsnight has reported that three porn films have been withdrawn from sale after the programme revealed that some performers are becoming infected with HIV.Two of the DVD titles show eight young men having sex with each other "in various combinations" without using condoms. Four of them were diagnosed as HIV positive shortly after filming.One of the men told Newsnight that he was "distressed that footage which he believed showed him becoming infected had been put on sale."

    3:30 PM — A trans activist and an Iranian queer organisation will be honoured by the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC) at a special ceremony next month.Andres Ignacio Rivera Duarte of Chile's Organización de Transexuales por la Dignidad de la Diversidad and the Canada-based Iranian Queer Organisation (IRQO) will be awarded the 2008 Felipa de Souza Award.Each award winner will receive a $5,000 (£2,516) stipend. The awards will be presented at a ceremony in New York on April 28th, 2008.

    10:50 AM — Senator Hillary Clinton's firewall against the momentum of the Barack Obama campaign held on Tuesday night, as Clinton scored major victories in Texas, Ohio and Rhode Island.Most important for the Clinton campaign was a decisive win in the Ohio primary which has historically been a bellwether for how candidates perform in a general election. No candidate in the last five or so decades, Democrat or Republican, has lost the Ohio primary and gone on to win in November.
