    Again, I urge the EU (this time) to withold any monies to Morocco until they bring their laws into line regarding the LGBT community.It may interest people to know but Morocco is the largest recipient of EU money outside of the EU itself and is very reliant on EU and European money for survival. Pull the plug on funding and watch them jump into line.

  2. Roberto, I applaud your sentiments, but it isn’t going to happen. Morocco is an Islamic country and Islam does not allow for separation of religion and State.There are doubtless many non religious laws in Morocco, but no law will be passed if it is in serious conflict with the teachings of Islam or Sharia law.And I’m afraid gay rights is one of those issues.Doesn’t matter if you have semi-secular, moderatish, pro-westernish leaders who maybe do think gays should be more tolerated as it doesn’t really affect the economic well being of the country. The religious leaders would never allow it.
