  1. What an evil little man he really is! But what else can you expect from someone who was a member of the Hitler Youth.

Oh, absolutely, straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed. God forbit if the sanctity of Britany Spears’ 55-hour “just-for-fun marriage” would be destroyed by gays getting married!

  3. Sister Mary Clarence 12 Dec 2007, 5:15pm

Yes, I see their point now you put it like that William.

  4. Robert, ex-pat Brit 12 Dec 2007, 6:05pm

William, you’re right about that. George Bush once said that if marriage were available to gay people, the institution of marriage would be turned on its head and society would be seriously threatened. To date, nobody has provided the proof when you consider five countries have already opened marriage to same-sex couples and the sky hasn’t fallen in on any of them. I would like to know if same-sex marriage has affected straight married couples in any negative way. Where is the evidence? I’m sure Bush and the religious bigots can’t name one instance, the morons and hypocrites that they all are.

Indeed, Robert. The old “end of society argument” that a lot of these foolish bigots scream from the pulpit. Of course they’re right. Society could NEVER adapt to new social norms. Just like society hasn’t adapted to cars, the internet, or longer life spans due to medical science advances, or divorce.I also love the argument that “straight marriages are valid because they produce children”. Again, absolutely true. Indeed, gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn’t be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren’t full yet, and the world needs lots more children. I believe this ethos that was tried in Germany about 1935, but didn’t work out too well for them.

  6. Rich coming from someone who wears a dress, lives in a palace only with other men surrounded by antiques, has fabulous jewelry and a gold hat. There’s a traditional family for you..

  7. gay people threat to peace, gay people responsible for the floods in the UK, gay people responsible for 9/11…These “religious nutters” just look foolish and nasty.

  8. Time this evil old Nazi stopped spitting hate and spread a little love and peace in the world for a change. His arguments, blaming one section of society for the world’s ills, sounds rather familiar to me! Didn’t a certain Adolf Hitler try the same trick on the Jews?

  9. So “gay marriage is an obstacle on the road to peace”.Is that a threat?

  10. the other day we were childish , now we are stopping peace????I have today after reading this patted myself on the back, as I have decided that I as a gay man do a real service to the world. My sexuality is where the bucks stops . I am the reason these people all think they have an argument. With out my sexuality, they are right royaly shaggedBecause with out gay people , who else could they, would they blame???We do a real service to these ill informed , ignorant ideas.

There is nothing more shameful than a living Pharisees and Sadducees in this day and age. I believe Jesus was told that he was blasphemy and that he wasn’t the son of God. He was called names and told he wasn’t righteous and beat for no reason whatsoever. I read that in some countries that the same thing is being done to gays. That they are being beaten and bruised for reasons that others feel is immoral. One thing is for certain that our Father in Heaven tests us and wants to see the hearts of his people. The word of God simply says thou shall not judge. The word of God says to love and show mercy and God’s grace is sufficient. Yes even for gays. Furthermore, how heartbroken the Lord must be to see his people mistreated and told that they are an abomination and the cause for terror and malice in our country. For those of us who have received the revelation that being gay is not a surprise to God and that we live with him in our hearts. We make differences for him and we are vessels for him despite our inequities because we all fall short of the Glory of the Lord. We all fall short. We all need to be humble and bow down and praise the Lord and as his word says he is concerned about our hearts. He doesn’t see the world as we do he sees our hearts. The relationship with Jesus is more important than any marriage either heterosexual or homosexual. Didn’t God know that there would be this many gay people? There is a bigger purpose here than we are aware of. I personally wake up each morning as a Christian first and a lesbian second. I am identified and purified by the blood of Jesus and his grace is sufficient for me. I know that because he has told me and no one else. Our father in heaven sent his only begotten son to die for whosoever will believe in him shall not die but have everlasting life. Not just Romans, or Jews, but whomsoever. We are not given grace by our works but as a gift. A gift given by God to whom he chooses, as he closes the chapter of John with “If I choose to let him live forever what is that to you? Who are we to question or judge? Love one another and let God do the rest. He will let each of us know if we are wrong as long as we live our lives for him. We should be more concerned about bringing people to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and working on showing others how to receive the love of Christ. How is a gay person supposed to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ if they constantly hear horrible things from those who represent him? We first love and then God does the rest through Jesus Christ. I am personally grateful for the love of Christ and I will live my life for him. I have given myself fully to him and believe that whatever is not of God is being removed from me and I am still a lesbian. Thank you Jesus for loving me and I will follow your example to love my neighbors and love God with all my heart, mind and soul. I pray that your relationship with Jesus continues to grow and the real purpose of this era is revealed so that you too can be saved.

  12. Quite frightening that such a bigot should be in a position of such power where there is a serious threat that his views could be taken seriously.

  13. Here we go again!! *Yawn* The same bullshit over and over again!!Is it any wonder the church gets less and less important? What an incredibly stupid man!

  14. He makes it sound like gay people have suddenly popped up out of the ground…no gay people haven’t been here since the dawn of man we just invented ourselves now just on purpose to ruin the world. What he said is only one step forward from the ancient Roman belief that sodomy causes earthquakes.
