  1. The Tories are bankrolled by Ashcroft so they don’t need multiple donors. He pays them – they do his bidding. There’s democracy for you. Want a new law or a new tax break – buy a Tory.

  2. The santimonious hypocrisy of the Labour party is hardly a surprise. Barely a day goes by without them being embroiled in a new sleaze or incompetencey scandal. As for Gordon Brown, he owes the country an apology after selling off the gold reserves at a rock bottom price and destroying the private sector pension scheme with a £5 billion a year tax grab.

It is “completely incredible” that those people who are officials involved in this fundraising effort do not understand the law – Nick its not “incredible”, it is totally f**king unbelievable.According to the Independent, Harriet Harman, the Labour Party’s chairman, has secretly discussed with senior colleagues ways of stopping Lord Ashcroft from using his private wealth to win more seats for the Tories by using a loophole in the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000. The cunning plan involved engaging the services of willing halfwits, too stupid to realise that they could land themselves in prison ‘donating’ on behalf equally halfwitted Northern businessmen to illegally inject funds into the cash-strapped Labour political machine, in exchange for the real donor getting as yet undisclosed (but no doubt) illicit favours in return. Its about time some of them did the decent thing and fell on their swords …. I’ll not be happy with resignations I want the see them actually FALL on their swords. And Bill, if you’re tempted to comment, f**k off. The is a story about UK politics, so please do not embarrass yourself again by posting comments about a subject you know nothing about
