How pathetic in this day and age, What a total waste fo the Police’s time and money. Why could the Police jave not liased with the local gay Community and passed on warnings that this behaviour would not be tolerated! This has been successfully used in past cases, it just show how backward our Council and Police friends in the provincial north are at Policing the community. It woudl be intersting to know how much this cost the tax payer!

  2. It would be no different if men and women were having heterosexual activity in a public placeyeah right!!

  3. anon: Quite!the “boys in the back of the bus” incident demonstrates that. We’ve all seen straight sex couples almost getting to coitus on a late night bus, but rarely threatened with being thrown off. What became of this story by the way? Will it fade away as nothing happens?

40 years since decriminalisation of homosexualityRemoval of Section 28Equality in the work placeEquality in Goods and ServicesLGBT liaison officers in the policeCivil Partnerships…And we still need to have sex in toilets? It’s absolutely disgusting and the gay men should be ashamed of themselves for doing this. I can understand loving relationships straight or gay wanting to enjoy a quick romantic satisfaction, but in no way do I tolerate men who need to hunt for sex in public places. Will we ever shed the promiscuity that we have been stereotyped with? I very much doubt it if my fellow gays keep hiding in bushes for his next cock to show up.

Ryan, try googling ‘dogging’ and ‘Stan Collymore’ and see what you come up with. People sneak around for sex – there’s no accounting for fetishes. Sexuality really only becomes a deciding factor if you count the hangover from the bad old days when few dared to be gay in public. That hangover will fade in a generation or two – don’t be too didillusioned!
