Just wanted to mention that the Peter Mayle book, “A Good Year” was the basis of the movie, “A Good Year.” “A Year In Provence,” though also by Mayle, is a different story altogether. Scott and Mayle sat down together and Scott said, “You write the book and I’ll make the movie.” And so they did. Scott changed a lot of things from the book, but there IS a book called “A Good Year” and that’s the foundation of the movie, not “A Year In Provence.”Jo
