Things evolve though. Gaydar is the first attempt at helping people come together. First attempts are always improved on. and in any case, Gaydar is / was a watershed moment – before which many people indeed thought they were the only gay person they knew.
Nowadays there are other options – e.g. Village Drinks…. as it becomes easier for gay people to meet, I think gaydar will play a less significant role over time. Well, we’ll see….
