  1. It seems Schwarzenazi just can’t understand how democracy works and is acting like some right wing dictator. This is rather like a Bill being passed here in Parliament and some “absolutist” Monarch refusing to sign! We all know what happened when the last Monarch tried that in England! (Off with his scanky head I say)!

Benedetta la Brutta (Benedicta the ugly) as I love to call him needs to clean out his own closets. The Vatican hierarchy is full of deeply closeted gay men and philandering straight clergy. Maybe we should demand a witchhunt just as he’s doing in the seminaries to ferret out anyone suspected of being gay. They sure have a monopoly on hypocrisy and bigotry.

Der Gubernators reference to the 2000 antigay and anti samesex marriage initiative is meant to mislead. All the major press in California and the polls indicate that the antigay plurality of 2000 has been gutted by education, the influx of younger, far less bigoted voters and the rejuvenation of the GLBT movement which has a history of winning, not losing initiative battles in California. Many such battles have been won in the last 30 odd years on questions ranging from discrimination to AIDS. The 2000 California initiative battle over samesex marriage was doomed because it occurred on the heels of Bill Clintons ringing endorsement of the Federal DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act.) The Republican wing of the twinned party of bigotry viewed Clinton’s treacherous attack on gays and lesbians as manna form heaven and used it to pass similar legislation in several states. That and the Bill and Monica show got Bush elected.
