Institutional Homophobic bullying like that of authorities in Cornwall is a genuine and real problem.

Great story on theme from Nova Scotia. Two guys start anti bulling campaign after third boy harrassed for wearing a pink polo shirt to school.

great news but why does the gay media always ignore the fact that trade unions, teachers unions and the TUC have been campaigning for an end to homophobic bullying and fighting for equality and always state Stonewall as the expert and only opponent to homophobia? It is not true! Give credit where due and stop the lazy journalism of naming and interviewing Stonewall as the one and only LGBT group fighting prejudice.

  4. You know what… let’s be glad that our country is a place where we give a toss about the lives of gay kids, cos most the world doesn’t. We still have a way to go and we are on the way to getting there.

  5. The reasons this guidance is just guidance and not mandatory is a cowardly reluctance to tackle head on the religious bigots who run a third of our schools and want to carry on telling children they are evil according of an ancient script which on the basis of no evidence whatsoever is alledgedly the work of some sky pixie or other. And who is encouraging these sub-intellectual nasty fantasists to run even more of our schools and as well as the homophobia and misogony also want to teach that the Earth is only six thousand years old, that Noah’s Ark is for real and that Adam and Eve really existed? The Government.Protest, before it is too late.

  6. My apologies. That should read “non-existent sky pixie or other”.

Having read the history of the Dept for Education… I’ve fired off a letter to them and my local MP… and would urge others to do the same.

  8. William from brighton, can you send me a copy of your letter?editor@queerwest.co.uk
