Soho Pride will be celebrated this weekend
The streets that constitute London’s gay village will get their own party this Sunday as Soho’s Pride event takes place.
Instead of a parade, various stages will be playing music from midday. Soho Square, Carlisle St and Rupert Street will be closed to traffic.
QX magazine will be hosting a stage featuring performances from drag queen Jodie Harsh and the Powder Puff Girls.
There will be a GaydarGirls/Candy Bar stage for women, featuring DJs and pole dancers.
Soho Square will host to the GaydarRadio stage.
Soho Pride has become a popular day out for London’s gay clubbing community.
It differs from many other Pride events in that it is focused completely on partying, as London already has a sizable Pride parade with political purpose earlier in the summer.
However, like London Pride, the weather forecast for the Soho event is looking grim, with heavy rain predicted.
