  1. Why is he not being put in jail for inciting hatred? This is nothing short of a crime, i can’t believe the Italian government or EU courts are just letting this slide!

Perhaps deputy mayor Giancarlo Gentilini should keep in mind the traditional Italian method of dealing with ethnic cleansers. Benito Mussolini, an Italian world conquering ethnic cleanser was captured by military forces of the Italian Resistance along with his mistress, Claretta Petacci, and other fascisti in April 1945. They were summarily executed and hung in a square like pigs. Which was appropriate.

  3. Benito Mussolini is alive and well it seems, and eager to out-do Hitler it seems! Someone should kick this fascist twit up and down the town piazza.

  4. If any violence results from this statement, the mayor should be held accountable as an accomplice.

  5. Robert, this only proves that there is a strong need for a hate crimes law protecting gays from violent crime, everywhere in Europe. If not, then laws protecting racial and religious bias in the UK should be repealed. If we as a group started to perpetrate crimes against heterosexuals because of their sexual orientation, there would be national uproar and probably a huge demonstration followed by swift government action to enact legislation to protect them. So transparent.Robert, ex-pat.

  6. Petition against Gentilini, for his destitution.
