I was sacked from the Royal Navy for being gay in 1970 after 14 years service. I was not charged with any offence – just interrogated by a couple of ‘men from the ministry’ and TOLD to request a discharge. How do I find out if I have a claim?

I was sacked from the Royal Australian Air Force for being gay but at the time I did not know I was gay.
The interrogation by the SPITS (Service Police) left me without self-esteem
and traumatised. My career stolen. Since then my life has been in ruination.
I have been relating my story to Harley Dennet at the Sydney Star Observer gay newspaper and his interest I believe has curbed my suicidal intent.
