  1. Dear Ben, I was saddened to hear of your battle with MS.As an older man (64) who had a partner from age 20 until his death from cancer two years ago,I was delighted to start reading PinkNews with its coverage of Pink Politics especially since I suffered as a number of others did in having to pay IHT and lose any rights to any part of my partner’s teachers’ pension as my partner died just a couple of months before the delayed implementation of the CPA in December 2005.As a member of the Labour Party for nearly 40 years and a worker in a junior minister’s constituency office at the time I know that Gordon Brown refused consistently to give Treasury consent to the financial rights in the CPA.So Brown’s interview with you where he voiced his pride and support for Tony Blair’s championing of Gay Rights was the most sickening opportunistic hypocrisy by the Prime Minister. That he felt compelled to say such things however does show that like the Conservatives ,New Labour under Brown is very conscious that the Gay Lesbian Vote may well be crucial in a forthcoming General Election.I shall be voting for David Cameron in the forthcoming General Election despite my memories of Margaret Thatcher and Tebbit.Cameron believes in Gay Rights whereas Brown’s actions quite clearly declare that he does not.PinkNews is super and is next to Guardian Unlimited and the Telegraph in my browser favourites.Meanwhile I hope you recover soon and I look forward to seeing you back on Channel Four News continuing to report on Gordon Brown’s “Fantasy Island” economy.Regards,Gendy
